APJ-What??

Hey you, yes you!

Welcome to the APJB Blog! This blog was created after some discussion at JASPARC 2012 about strengthening communication and bonding as a region. After throwing around some ideas, we came up with a blog site. Over here you’ll find lots of cool and awesome stuff like activities that other Junior Branches have done (and that you can too!), funny stories that have happened in CISV/the JB, challenges from your fellow APJBers, a place to express yourself, and even educational things we can reflect on. We hope that with the creation of this APJB Blog, we’ll become a cooler and more awesome region. Happy reading! :)

So, got something to contribute to the blog? Or want to give us comments, feedback, or suggestions? Email the APJB bloggers at apjb.blog@gmail.com. Please make sure to make the file compatible for all computers. We can’t wait to hear from you!

Here is an overview of some of the sections you’ll find on the APJB Blog

What’s new? – Here you’ll find some updates on CISV and JB activities happening all over the region. From meetings, to play days, to mini camps, and other small JB activities… you’ll get to see what the other JBs are up to.

Bring it on! – Under this category you’ll find some challenges from the Challenge Accepted! of the IJB. So even though we’re not being challenged, it’s really cool to see what others are doing. And you can draw up some inspiration to make your own challenges!

Idea Cloud – The cloud is a place for you to share ideas or topics with everyone. It may be an awesome idea that your JB is doing and you’d like to share with everyone or maybe an idea that you can’t do just right now, but that someone may be up to. It’s also a place to exchange thoughts with others. Be proud of what you believe in and remember to respect what others have to say about it.

Zoom-out – And last, but not least, we have a section where you’ll see some thoughts about current issues or reflections on educational activities. You’ll see people sharing some facts and knowledge or talking about an educational experience they may have had.

More about the APJB

APJB or the Asia Pacific Junior Branch is a regional junior branch that consists of the JBs from Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, New Zealand, Myanmar, Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Every year we have a conference called JASPARC (which is really awesome, and you should go to JASPARC 2014 in Thailand) and we hold three neighborhood workshops: TEA (Japan and China), ANZAC (Australia and New Zealand), and WHIP IT (Philippines and Indonesia).

The current awesome APJB Team members are Sam (PHI), Sofia (PHI), Ciaran (NZL) and Kevin (INO). Drop by and visit (and like!) their Facebook page.

And don’t forget to check us out on JBPedia too!
